I brought my dog here thinking I would have a good experience and instead went home with over $400 in expenses of medication for my dog and it didn't fully work, though I was told by the vet tech that he may need a second dose of one of the medicines and another of the medicines may be life long as it was an allergy medicine. I called back to get them filled and was told I couldn't because his vet tech was on medical leave and in order to get them filled I had to bring him in. I had a great experience at VCA Southwick. My cat needed a quick health certificate prior to our big move, and VCA Southwick was very caring and able to squeeze us in. My cat, though normally an angel, is a bit of a hell cat at the vet, and I was very impressed with how well this clinic took care of her. Much better than the last time she needed shots! Thank you!!
Never felt like that cared about the pet. It was all about the money. Our dog has/ had UTI problems and other issues. Although me doing my research and asking if we can try other things, all they kept saying was surgery, we have to do surgery and it would be 5,000. Well she's my kid so yes I would spend whatever. But we wanted a second opinion, took my dogs to another vet, they listened to my findings, we tried my first suggestion, she needs To be on a prescription food. Knock on wood have only had one UTI. Don't ever come here!! my dog was misdiagnosed for a torn ACL three months ago re-injured it because they said she never tore it and was just a sprain made me pay $500 for an x-ray that told them nothing then she was finally almost recovered until yesterday they gave her shots in her bad leg she had a bad reaction and became sore and couldn't walk so went back they told me she had a fever and it was probably from the shots then tried to make me pay for her pain medicine and blame it on the torn ACL which they don't even know... read more
HORRIBLY OVERCHARGED!!! Have been coming here for many years they ALWAYS try to up charge you with additional services like a fecal test for an indoor cat. went to have well kitty visit and agreed to fecal sample charge and was told cat had parasite (Coccidia) cat would need treatment and I would have to treat other cat in house as they share common litter box was prescribed Sulfadimethoxine (ALBON) 2 tablets each for each cat at a cost of $43.22 Plus Tax 1-800 pet meds had same medicine (ALBON) and sells it for $0.73 Each t... read more

I take all of my pets there. Very good customer service, vet tech was very knowledgeable. No complaints here.
Was a very sad day for me to put my 14yr old girl (cat) to sleep for kidney disease. Just 7 months ago I had to do the same for her 13yr old daughter unfortunately I went to a different Hospital and had a horrific experience! Everyone at Southwick was kind& empathetic to me& my precious girl! Highly recommend Southwick!
