I have been going to this place for years. I have seven pets and I take four of them here. I have laid two of my dogs to rest in their office. So let me say I don’t take this lightly. I had to take my dog who is almost 15 to the emergency vet because she presented with extreme pain. So I took her to Jones VCA two days later to see if we can figure out what happened. Dr. Frosch is the worst doctor I've ever had the displeasure of bringing my dog to , and that says alot as I've owned dogs 2 at a time for my whole life and I'm 51 years old. Brought my dog in for an ear infection and to recieve his annual shots. From the moment the Dr came in he had a cold aloof demeanor. He stood there with an annoyed look on his face as his inexperienced assistant choked and manhandled my dog while offering zero guidance. Me and Oreo and first time vistor Disney is at the clinic once again Dec 21,2023 Very clean clinic. Wonderful friendly staff. I absolutely love the place and staff I don't know why so many negative reviews. My experience with the front desk staff are very nice. Anytime I emailed them for any request they respond right away. The Drs are fantastic and very gentle and kind with the pets. They gave all my cats a bag of free gifts on they first visit. Free food and flea treatment and the price is very reasonable. We have used Baywood for many years and always had a good experience. However, this past year has been very different. We took our cat in for what we believed to be a simple vet tech check for his blood pressure. We put a perfectly fine cat into the crate. The vet tech took our cat back to the back for the blood pressure check. When our kitty was returned to us could not stand on his own. After 46 years of working at VCA East Penn I have parted ways. I will be working a Dr Sam's on Emmaus ave, The Drs at East Penn are excellent and provide good care, however since new management things have change SO much. We lost good techs and Dr's. I could not continue to work there. I will miss the clients very much but not the stress involved in going to work everyday
When I first brought my liver spotted dalmatian to Smoketown we delt with Dr. Shellenburger. He was absolutely amazing. My dog is deaf in one ear and the doctor admitted to not seeing a hearing test before and was very interested in it. Dr. Shellenburger then needed to treat my dog for crystals in his urine at a different appointment and said he was going to do some research on the breed to make sure he is treating him correctly. DO NOT take your pet to this hell hole! we have been going there for 10 years; 6 dogs! the past year, there is no care, no compassion, no dedication! even the doctors don’t want to stay there! they blew off my 1 year old Samoyed who was swarmed by ticks. took her to the ER and found out her platelets are low whugh can be FATAL! they don’t care! AT ALL! save your money and your baby’s life and go anywhere else!

If you don't bring your pet in enough...if you only resort to the minimum visits per year...then Brighton Animal Hospital will not value you. Let me make this clear if you do not spend enough money at Brighton Animal Hospital and your pet needs immediate care...well then they will say its their policy to not see your little family member and instead tell you that you will have to take him or her elsewhere, and point you to pet emergency care services.
