I would give this place 0 stars. I am so disappointed with my phone call on 6/11/20 at 3pm. I accidentally called this location trying to get my dogs worming record. I meant to call anchorage. The lady working the desk was extremely rude, so Un-helpful and just yelled the number for the anchorage location and hung up on me. She couldn’t take one second for me to grab a paper and pen. I will never recommend this place of business. I am still in shock with how I was treated. 907-688-6578 was the number I called.

They have always been wonderful. Diesel had gone there for years and when he got sick they tried so hard to make him and me feel better. However Diesel was very very sick and it was time. The whole staff was so sweet and had a room ready for me and him. The Dr almost started crying with me as I was a wreck I received a very nice card from the staff a couple of days after and received Diesels paw print about a week later it beautiful
Initially was great but after bringing my animal in and needing a follow up for a new onset skin lesion I was told i could come in but had to give previously given antibiotic shot time to work. Basically come on but can’t give meds yet. Opted for second opinion elsewhere and animal was diagnosed correctly and is doing well so far. Point is , communication is key and if a client calls with a complication with their previously seen pet, the vet tech or vet should I call the client to get accurate info. This clinic has done a great job helping me manage my cats cystitis. They have always been professional and kind.
Over the years I have taken cats and dogs to Bering Sea Animal Hospital and have been happy with the treatment they have provided. The staff is always friendly and very considerate and understanding if you have the have your pet put down. I would highly recommend them to anyone, in this part of town, who needs a vet for routine or emergency care for their pet.
I will start this off by saying I would give Dr. Metkeff 10 stars for palliative comfort care. She is the reason I stayed, despite the stories you are about to read. If you want reasonable treatment for an aging pet, an assortment of “as needed” treatments to manage your pet at home, truly compassionate care, and can schedule around Dr. Metkeff’s schedule, it is worth dealing with the rest of it.
