If you have breathing issues and cannot wear a mask DO NOT bring your kid to EMMC ER!! They will not let you in. Even though the Governor’s mandate says if you have breathing issues you do not have to wear a mask!!

RecommendedI just want to say thank you to all of the wonderful staff who took care of my baby and I last month on the labor and delivery floor. I had so much anxiety about birthing during the pandemic and everyone who helped me at the hospital was so warm and compassionate and helped to ease my anxiety. The birth of my first son at another hospital was a completely different experience and I am so thankful to have had my last baby there. Keep up the good work, it truly makes a difference!

The doctors here are excellent. The rooms where people are waiting for patients could use a little work, but the place is old.
I had a major surgery on Monday morning the 17th. I was incredibly anxious about it and the team at NL EMMC were wonderful. They alleviated my concerns and helped me relax. They were kind and empathetic in their approach to handling my “nerves” and they truly listened after it was over so they could give me the best care possible. I’m thrilled at how well it all went and how quickly I am recovering!
northern light is the choice for you if your ideal healthcare looks like dying in the ER waiting room from a stroke and not having any staff notice for 4 hours! Or if you're having suicidal ideations and you feel up to waiting 8 whole hours for eval! do you want a doctor to laugh at you, or actively call you a drug-seeking liar? EMMC is the hospital for you! but for real, go to st. Joseph's or just allow death to take you where you stand
