About this business

Located in Buckhead, Varasano’s Pizzeria is home to what some critics consider the best pizza in Atlanta. Owner Jeff Varasano spent years traveling the globe and perfecting his pizza recipe in his home kitchen before opening a pizza joint of his own in 2009. Varasano’s offers thin crust New York style pizzas, piping hot and slightly charred around the edges. Traditional favorites like Margherita are on the menu as well as unique creations like the New Haven Clam or Dolce with Medjool dates and Fontina cheese. Sta... read more

This place has the best deal on the weekend for bottomless. $9.95 for bottomless bloodies, mimosas, and belinnis. Really can't get any better than that. Oh wait, it can. THEIR PIZZA IS AWESOME

Verasano's makes some good pizza however the service and atmosphere are not great. On Tuesdays the restaurant has bottomless wine plus a pizza for $19.99 which is an insanely awesome deal! The pizza is super thin which makes it delicious for dining in but it can get soggy fast so I would not recommend for take out.

I want to love this place and can say that I do love the pizza. But something about the atmosphere just doesn't fit the bill. I can't exactly put my finger on it but something always seems to fall flat when it comes to service, atmosphere or attitude. I can't say much more than that, but I always walk away not fully satisfied with the whole experience. Unfortunately that elusive "feel" just escapes me and keeps me from coming back. But don't let that stop you from checking it out because the pizzas are great!

After a recent visit to New York City and stumbling into what I thought the best pizza ever at Grimaldi, and then again at Motorino, my search started for the holy grail of pizza here in Atlanta. After tasting different variations of this classic oven-baked flat bread that’s topped with tomato sauce, I felt my search hit a dead end and I had to return to NYC to fulfill my craving. I couldn’t have been more wrong. After one visit to Varasano’s Pizzeria on Peachtree Road in the South Buckhead, I found it, a pizza with personal... read more

Not that good – I really wanted to like this place, it's in my neighborhood and more than a few times each month I need a good pizza or pasta in a convenient location. The pizza is not even marginal (first visit) and the pasta is plain awful (second visit). And the 'donuts' they tout for dessert are just pizza dough wedges rolled in sugar and fried on the grill-gross, really, really gross...served with really runny raspberry sauce. The stellar reviews here must be from the owner's friends and family because people who know g... read more

Excellent, pure pizza – I took my wife and 2 kids (ages 10 & 11.5) to Varasano's while on vacation in Atlanta. We were looking for a "pizza joint" to change things up a bit (we had a lot of BBQ & Mexican food thus far on our trip..). After doing some web research I decided on Varasano's. It was about a 15 minute drive from downtown Atlanta. We parked across the street, (although there is valet parking) and walked in at about 8:30 p.m. on a Friday night. The restaurant's interior was modern and slick, yet not overdone. We ord... read more

This is the best pizza I've ever had. It's light and fresh. All the ingredients are really fresh and great quality, and the combinations are awesome. The carmelized onion is so good. I didn't think it would be that great, but I tried a slice of my friend's, and I couldn't believe how good it was. The onions were sweet and the cheese had a nice sharpness to it. I had the house special Nana's pizza, and it was hands down the best cheese pizza I've ever had. The fresh cheese and herbs were incredible. We finished the evening wi... read more
