VNRH saved my life. My stay was short because I wasn't yet willing, but I experienced unconditional love. I experienced Christmas and New Years and an HIV diagnosis while I was there. I had no where else to go and even though they had a waiting list they gave me a chance to save my life. Its been nearly 8 years since I was there. I will forever be grateful. I hope to one day return and volunteer my Christmas morning like others did for me.
This place needs to be stopped...there's nothing prooofessional about them, and their tough love attitude doesn't make up for the crappy quality of life you live when you live there. They're just cheap and crazy.
It's very difficult but it teaches me or it taught me in the month I was there before I got discharged how to be accountable something I've been trying to learn for the last 25 years in the program I learned in a little more than a month a few days it's amazing Cathy wat is consistent with her STRICTNESS AND BEHAVIOR(monitoring) and her honesty and Lord it is amazing Jamie is out of this world.. life has more value and rules somehow I had to learn how to follow them
