About this business

Fiery red sandstone glazed with corrugations forms the nucleus of this park which is a picturesque desert wonder. Having been a Nevada landmark since the 1930s, this state park is a startlingly insightful subject on geology, history as well as archaeology. Standing strong through hundreds of years, the park can safely be called a canvas of textured waves of red water frozen in time. Riddled with sweeping canyons and rock art which dates as far back to as 2000 years, the state park has been a shelter of the indigenous and old... read more

Remarkable scenic with a wide range of different kinds of hike. Only an hour away from Las Vegas and a great place to stop for the day or on your way to more adventures in Southern Utah. Fire Wave was my favorite spot.

We drove all the side roads, walked up to "The Cabins" to look inside, walked through the Visitor Center with dog in arms,... read more

Made a day trip from Las Vegas. Had wanted to come here for some time. Absolutely worth the drive! The scenery is incredible, plenty of places to get out and wander around. (Follow the rules though!!) Great visitor center! We were told it was rare to see the Big Horn Sheep.... 5 minutes after leaving the center there was a beautiful ram on the side of the road!! Amazing!! I will say people need to slow down!!! After checking out many of the highlights we headed out... Making sure to go extra slow where we had seen the ram. T... read more
