My husband and I are from Georgia. We spent 10 days in New Mexico and the Valley of Fire State Park is in my top three things we did. We were actually driving back from White Sand and happened upon it right at sunset! The sunset is one I won't ever forget. Love it!!!
The roads are well maintained. Perfect for motorcyclists especially in the summer because of less visitors.
A regular place for some of the best times and beautiful scenery to be had in southern NV with my family & friends. I'd like to give a big shout out to the showers at the campground too! Probably the nicest I've ever seen at a remote place. Oh...and BOO to the $4.95 k-cup coffee at the visitors center...it's cheaper to drive back to the Piaute travel plaza.
