Went there yesterday for fried clams with my sister. They no longer have them on the menu, my sister spoke to the owner when we arrived and explained our dad use to bring us there when we were kids in the 70’s. We both live out of state now but anytime we pass through Glenview, we make a special trip for fried clams. The owner was so nice, he had the cook make us some!! We were so excited! They were just as good as we remembered!! It was a wonderful lunch and we will be back!! Thank you Valley Lodge!!
Birthday dinner with family & friends was great at Valley Lodge last night. Food was delicious especially ribs & pork chops. Service was wonderful & waitress was very helpful. We even shared & enjoyed a large piece of Birthday cake. Valley Lodge is a Glenview gem!
I've been here twice - last time was eat-in during lunch, today was take-out for dinner. Both experiences were very pleasant. Today, while waiting for my order, I got to experience what a well-oiled machine this place was. All the staff were very polite and one thing I was impressed by was how much they operated as a team. And of course the food is great. I've personally only had the pretzel bites so far, but looking forward to trying other items in the future. My mom definitely enjoyed the Angus sliders.
Visiting from Milwaukee and I would definitely come back for other dinners
Went with a group of friends last Saturday night. The good news: great waitress, prime rib special was cooked perfect that 3 of us had. Bad news: the meat was so tough that u could barely cut and eat it.
The food was delicious and my martini was even better!
