Scheduled a new patient appointment with Dr. Poertner in June. The soonest he had available was the end of October, so I scheduled the the appointment with expectation of a wait. Was texted 9/22 from the facility asking to call to reschedule. When I called I was told that Dr. Poertner was not taking any additional new patients for the year and they were looking to reschedule in 2026. One hears a lot about different doctors and their office staff and most of it is negative. My experience with my first doctor in Nevada has been nothing but positive. As a matter of fact, my experience with Dignity Heath, Dr Poertner, Jackie and all of the staff that work in the front office has been nothing short of incredible. So often when you contact a doctor's office, you get an automated message prompting you to do 1, 2, or 3. Not so with Dr Steven Poertner's office. Not only do you get a live person, but a friendly and helpful live person like Jackie. Jackie went out of her way to assist and find the answers that I was seeking. I couldn't thank Jackie enough for her professionalism and kindness. I also want to compliment Dr Poertner's assistant Jonay, who just like Jackie is absolutely fabulous.
