Dr. Monica encouraged my 11-year-old daughter to transition and ignored my beliefs, trying to push me to accept it and agree. Dr. Monica caused more harm than help while treating my daughter for about 8 months. My daughter became more depressed within those 8 months. Be careful when choosing a therapist for your child—some may encourage them to make decisions that don’t align with your values and can create distance or conflict between you and your child.
