I am so very grateful for Valerie as my therapist. I have never had a therapist take the level of time that she did to really get to know me and what I am struggling with, and I feel so seen with her. She is warm, has a great sense of humor, and is incredibly knowledgeable. She validates where I am but also challenges me. I started therapy with valerie at valiant minds 4 months ago and have nothing but nice things to say. Their offices are clean, welcoming, and very neurodivergent friendly! Scheduling was always my biggest hurdle with my work schedule, so the hours and availability benefit for adults or families with kids and busy lives since they are open past ‘traditional’ office hours. I've seen a few therapists over the years, and Valerie was the first one I connected with almost immediately. During our first session she noticed the tattoo on my wrist that says "Until the Darkness Claims Us." She pointed to it and asked, "Mannon Blackbeak?" I was like WHAAAT? I cannot say enough about how lucky I feel to have found Valerie and Valiant Minds Counseling. I’ve only had 7 sessions so far, but I feel like she’s positively impacted me so much already. I’ve started doing things I’ve struggled for years to do, learned different ways to look at situations and genuinely feel optimistic for the future. If you’re in search of a therapist/counselor, I highly, highly recommend!!
