This auction house did not provide true information about a 1964 El Camino I bid on and ended up driving 4 hours to pick up. Misrepresented the vehicle entirely. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!! I spoke to a person today claiming to be the owner and after expressing my disappointment and mistake of trusting them to be ethical and honest he blew me off. I'm out over $11k for a vehicle that was totally misrepresented. This should be a 0 star review or maybe a minus 10
There should be NO STARS for this auction house! I bid online on a 1964 El Camino and the pictures did not represent the actual condition of the vehicle. I live 4 hours away so I could not go look at it but trusted in their being an honest, ethical company. WRONG!! The paint is very damaged, there are a number of rust spots most left out of the pictures, repair areas that were simply painted over, broken heater controls, no door/ignition keys, no sunvisors, the engine they stated as "new engine" IS NOT NEW, and reverse d... read more

I recently had an awful experience with Vail Auctioneers. Was high bidder on what was pictured to be two individual 1 Troy ounce .999 Gold ingots, and what was listed as a 1923 $2.50 Indian Head Gold coin. Upon receipt, I found the coin to be 1911, not what was advertised, and the pictured gold turned out to be copper, and heavier than a Troy ounce. I returned the items, certified mail. As an ex 15 year military Anti-Terrorism Officer, I was fool enough to trust the citizens of this country, Val Vail proved me wrong. High bidder on 2 fake, misrepresented gold bars, and an $2.50 Golf Indian Head coin. Sent them back, certified, requesting refund, like another person here, standard response, ‘not going back and forth, going anywhere.’ Val then had the gall to relist all of them at his most recent auction (carried by HiBid, who I had previously complained to, no response, just as bad, the enablers). If I could select no stars I would have. They misrepresent items, list fake goods as authentic, ignore complaints and requests for resolution. Last response I got from them, essentially 'too bad, I'm done bantering back and forth.' Just wait for the Equalizer, definitely need to be taken out!
I bought a few thousand dollars worth of goods from Vail thru Hibid.com and transferred them via wire, but what I received was fake or trashy goods, and when I asked for a refund, no response was given. If you want to buy waste from WA, order to Vail.
