One gets the sensation, pulling into the highly-structured parking garage, staffed exclusively by veterans, of being on a military base, being part of a well-organized precision military operation. Like, the opposite of Hegseth and Trump's war of choice in Iran, which is unwinnable... Anyway, good place, good staff.
I had a family member who died of cancer on Sept 3rd, and before he got moved to the 5th floor on ICU, he was on the 3rd floor, where he got treated horrible by nurses and doctors. It is absolutely ridiculous how staff treat their patients. I do NOT recommend.
I want to thank Oscar Leon , PACT SOCIAL WORKER for a very quick response in regards for rides to VA Appointment ; after 20 years of VA Care this Social Worker put request for rides to VA APPT , Approved Quickly, Thank You Very Much Sir for your time , I am deeply appreciative - GOD BLESS Regardless of the horrible care from VA Loma Linda, I do believe there are caring VA Employees in San Diego Oscar Leon , hopefully I soon get VA Care for Dementia, my COGNITIVE DECLINE WORST DAILY, I definitely need assistance, I was t... read more
Minus some process frustration, I've had an overall good experience with this hospital and its staff in the many times I've been here, for either the ER or simple appointments. Obviously when something goes wrong the effects on the patient experience can snowball into something terrible really quickly, though, so I wish they had more real time admin support to be reviewing cases as they occur so the medical staff can catch issues in advance of them happening. I had to go to the VA ER. Full disclosure- I am not an easy patient. I have taken out my IV and left the hospital more than a few times. Yesterday was no exception. I've been a medical mystery for a very long time. I'm frustrated and I want answers. Yesterday was no exception. I said alot of things, that I regret. The staff was professional, but I knew that they would glad to be rid of me. Then, too my surprise, the doctor came back and approached me with a totally different attitude.
