I love the people and the service at this place. They are very busy and still have great attitudes. I'm shocked at some of these reviews. Keep doing what you are doing guys! I'm sorry that everyone doesn't appreciate you as much as I do!
I am leaving this review to document systemic access-to-care and administrative failures rather than a single isolated incident. Formal complaints were submitted through VA channels regarding care access and Community Care referrals, but those complaints were not acknowledged, tracked, or resolved. Despite public messaging around improved Community Care options, the actual process made it extremely difficult to obtain timely non-VA care due to administrative delays and procedural barriers. I had an incredible experience today with Margo at the Mental Health Clinic in Plano. I’ve been in and out of the VA system for 16 years and have had every kind of experience you can imagine, but Margo is one of those rare people who truly made a difference my life. Ive been trying to do labs several times. I've waiting an hour each time and still have not gotten it done. I have done labs more than once here. It takes approximately 5 minutes and they have several people working there. Not sure what the actual issue is; but, it's extremely frustrating when you live 10 miles one way and you've done this 3x and still got to go back. Incredibly disappointing
Traveled 30 minutes to the Plano clinic to get labs done for my husband. Arrived at 11:30. The lab is only open from 8-1:45. The unfriendly receptionist told me they were going to have a meeting now (during their normal business hours) for 1 1/2 hrs! We had to borrow a vehicle to get to this appt. They didn’t care. Now we have to try and get another ride and come back next week to try again. This all seems very unprofessional and disrespectful to the veterans and their caregivers. Do better Plano VA!!!
