Extremely concerned and helpful hospital staff. So greatly appreciated their efforts in making feel comfortable during my appointment.
I'am in the CLC East wing which is the rehab area. I'm in a two women room which is airy with a nice window view. The nursing staff really tries to make it as pleasant as they can for you, which I appreciate.
The Long Beach VA Medical Center has gone above and beyond what I expected from a VAMC. Previous Va Medical Centers I have been too have misdiagnosed and a few times even nearly killed me due to not disclosing pertinent information I could of used when making treatment decisions. To all those leaving negative reviews you can't blame the VA for all your problems. The ER prioritizes based on the severity of your illness or injury. I've had no problems getting the treatment I need when it's needed at the LBVAMC.
Made it to appointment on time, that snowballed to why I rated it a 5 star experience. Nurse was very polite and helped out by answering my questions. Right after she was done with me, she escorted me straight to doctor's office. Doctor was very polite as well plus she was concerned about my reason for being there. After tgat I went to get my bloodwork done and the world famous wiz quiz. That afternoon the same doctor called me to explain my blood analysis (I'm healthy), and explained what I have to do next. I’m looking for my x Ray for my sore knee and chest and tried to download the images from the eve edits website. There are NO images of them but a damn report saying that my symptoms are just fine. I will go to a civilian hospital to take these same x rays and submit them for my appeal. What is the VA trying to hide?
The VA does nothing to help the homeless. Homeless outreach just gives out a flyer that has a bunch of rescue missions. The VA police haras veterans. They dont have a place for the homeless veterans to shower. The PIER center has food but its "only for mental health patients." This is the worst VA that Ive been to!
