I took my husband to the ER yesterday, thank you Dr. Gerhardt. He was diagnosed with appendicitis and we were transferred to San Antonio for surgery. Uvalde Memorial is blessed to have such a great ER dr.!! Our nurses were great also. Great bedside manners that lead to a great experience!
Ugh. I was so ill when I went into this ER. I had pneumonia, asthmatic bronchitis, and influenza!! The staff tried to make me walk when my husband told them I couldn't walk. So then they pretty much forced me and pushed, pulled and tugged at me to get me to the bed. I then was treated to a nose dig!! They put a swab up my nose so far that I had a sore nose after that. Horrible I was in massive pain for 3hrs in the waiting room No compassion !!!
Everyone was very kind & professional. We were in & out fairly quickly, including X-rays. Even got a discount on my co-pay for in full up front. Should of been $150, paid $112.50.
