I had my first visit at UT urogynecology today and was 13 minutes late and they refused to see me because they were already behind. There were no other patients in their waiting area. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and very un-compassionate. If you go, make sure to give yourself 45 minutes extra time to find a parking place and then locate the building they are in. Dr Jessica Hammett Gatliff is very knowledgeable, compassionate, easy to communicate with and I am so thankful to have found her. I had a bad experience with another urogynocologist so trust didn't come easy for me. She is top notch! I highly recommend her.
Disappointing that scheduling set me up with, Jessica Hammett-Gatliff, whom does not have a gynecology background when I specifically requested that. She was not available for days when I had a reaction to a medication she prescribed and they had no other nurse or doctor to even talk to. After that, and learning she does not have the appropriate medical education, I requested a different doctor. Dr. Polin and NP Dove we're wonderful and explained everything about my surgery and aftercare. The only problem I had was the lack of consideration about payment. I had a hysterectomy at the same time as the bladder sling and it cost less than the bladder sling. I was paying on it, but I had surgery and didn't make 2 payments, sent in one in January for which they cashed it, then Elaine Schaefer supervisor sent me a discharge notice since my account was sent to collections, but it was there office that cashed the check.
