DO NOT EXPECT OVERPAYMENT REFUND TO BE A SIMPLE PROCESS... The bill they sent was incorrect. I did not know this at the time, so I sent them a check in full payment. USAP sends my overpayment refund in form of a prepaid debit card from Bank of America (BOA). NOTE: I do not have a BOA bank acct. Paid day f visit now its 6 months later and I get a 1500.00 bill WTH
What a heartless greed driven company. Two days after my procedure our house burned, I called and spoke with them to see if they could work with me. They suggested a payment and I explained I couldn’t afford it. They were unwilling to reduce the bill at all. I have been paying 5 dollars a month and now they are threatening to send my remaining balance to collections. Beware!!! Research possible alternatives and suggest your surgeon do the same. This was total "Bait and Switch" exploitation. I was quoted a price under the guise of self pay due to no insurance. When I was quoted the price and asked if they would send me the statement so I could pay them. Nothing came until after the procedure. The original quoted $835 was now somehow $5000. The reasoning was I didn't prepay as well which was never mentioned by the overworked staff member. SO was it an oversight to not send a bill or fraud?... read more
