Went in for an appointment with Dr Salmon in the early AM time frame. Mind you I waited a month for this appointment. Dr Salmon was 45 minutes late. He proceeds to cut me off multiple times as I am trying to explain my symptoms and ask questions. Dr Salmon answered a phone call and appeared to be texting during my appointment. I can't talk about everyone in this office, but my experience with the PA Tara Carpenter was horrible, she left the room to "run things" with another PA, she came back and was very dismissive, telling me to "just set up an alarm to wake up and go pee" and "if you have recurrent UTI's come back ". I was referred to the urologist by my PCP because he considered i needed to see an specialist to figure out why my kidney is having issues and pain, which obviously is NOT normal. It has been a month since I tried setting an appointment for a family member who cannot do for herself. First i was told her Dr. had to make the call to this Dept. (Something that the doctor had NO IDEA about!). So, I asked her doctor to do so. 2 weeks pass and I make several calls and leave messages each time WITH the information to contact us ASAP. Brian Wirkus PA is wonderful. He listened to me and knew exactly my frustrations. He was not dismissive but rather listened and helped me with my uncommon condition. He has helped me out tremendously and I would refer him to everyone. He has stopped coming to the cedar city office, but I will make the drive to see him. Very punctual and attentive.
