Staff are very friendly, so helpful and accommodating. Unless you've physically hurt yourself I'd definitely recommend coming here instead of the hospital

Entirely misrepresented as a “urgent mental health care centre.” The fact SA health endorses it, and the triage line encourages people in strife to go there is a joke. From the get go the staff were blunt, emotionless and seemingly poorly trained. I accessed this service after witnessing a traumatic event. I needed mental health support and someone to talk to. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at UMHCC. From the moment I arrived I felt warmth, care and that I was going to be listened to. The process was explained to me in relation to who I would see such as a peer worker, mental health nurse, clinical social worker and a Dr if needed.
