Great store with very helpful staff. They had exactly what I needed and the price was good.
The home-town feel and humble atmosphere of the shop makes a first-time gardener like myself feel less intimidated by all the necessary steps of home growing. There were items I didn't see in the bigger chains for much much more reasonable prices - for example the vertical garden pieces and the big cloth compost bags. A feature you won't see in Lowes or Home Depot is the continuous youtube loop on the flatscreen with tutorials on hydroponic gardening. I visited UHS and I was so impressed!! Before finding UHS I spent so much time and effort driving around the area to find HIGH QUALITY gardening materials...I went to all the big box stores and the smaller nurseries. I just couldn't find the products I was looking for...UNTIL I found this amazing little gem of a store. Basically any and all of the products I wanted were housed in the same convenient location. I met with Rob who was very helpful and knowledgeable. He showed me around and gave me lots of wonderful information.... read more
