The Uptown Arts Bar is a premier venue and platform for performing arts. Located in the hip Uptown District of Midtown, it was originally built in 1925. Over the decades it has won accolades aplenty for being the best of its kind in Kansas City. Their eclectic schedule features live music, comedy, poetry, burlesque, dance, magic, and more, by emerging and established talent. It is also a partner venue for the Fringe Festival. It can hold 150 guests and features a bar and outdoor patio.

This is a nice bar. They have cheap drinks and good music and food. However; they allow minors in. Causes a bunch of stupid drama. I don't think any bar should allow minors in. Stay classy.
Some shoes there I really enjoyed....the last talent show...dear Lord..not...the talent was great..the hosts...not..as for food...I ordered the spinach artichoke dip...it was nothing more than cpl vans spinach dumped in a bowl...lets say it was beyond nasty...I'll go back cause I have friends who do shoes there..but I won't eat there...I'll sneak food in..
Hmm i went to go to event poetry night it was advertised for 2 days turns out it was only friday not Saturday. My friend and i showed up walked in the door no hello or anything. So we sat down and 15 mins passed still no hello or what will you have nothing. I was very disappointed. We decided to go to Hamburger marys down street.
Had a really good time tonight, bar tender was awesome, drinks were awesome, the acts tonight were amazing but the MCs were incredibly rude talking over acts and being generally disgusting.
Great place for live music! Marvelous staff, great drinks and awesome food.
Cinema Cabaliste is excellent! Wonderful vintage film selections, and a talented and entertaining host!
Great people and great audio experience up stairs at niche. One of the best advocates of local art forms so glad they are here. Keep it up!
