UPDATED! This ER lied to my wife and I. Our PCP said they should've done an MRI. ER said there was no cause for one, our PCP said otherwise. PCP said not being able to go to the bathroom is a MAJOR red flag that they must have willingly ignored because it's a textbook red flag. Now because of their inability to do their job, my wife may have PERMANENT nerve damage! We got the MRI that was needed 2 days later at another facility. We experienced horrendous care at Upstate Hospital’s Emergency Room. The facility was filthy—there was blood on the floors and walls, and a bloody tampon left on the bathroom floor. My close family member had a life-threatening emergency that was brushed off by upper level staff. She was in excruciating pain—worse than childbirth—and was not given any pain medication until an hour before surgery. If your willing to die come to this hospital your waiting time when not busy is 4+ hrs ,when busy your waiting time is one day , i don’t understand how the state allows a hospital like this to be operated

Sitting in waiting room. Trash on the floors and it smells like piss. Been waiting 5 hours now. I asked for an ice pack for my swollen foot and was ignored. They don't care if your in pain here. They have alot of homeless people that come in and say they want to be seen but instead they find a chair and go to sleep. Im from fl and this is probably the worst hospital I've been too. I'd leave but I need my foot checked out.
