Writing this while waiting in the emergency room so it might not be fair but we’ve been here for 5 hours and aren’t even REGISTERED yet. Came here from PCP’s office because of chest pain and a possible stroke but that must not matter much. You’d think coming in via ambulance would get you seen a little quicker but nope - not here. Things are so bad that at least 5 people have gotten tired of waiting and decided to leave. The absolute worst hospital I have ever been in. The ER staff doesn't care at all about the patients. My girlfriend had back surgery 4 weeks ago and fell down the basement stairs but because I brought her there instead of an ambulance they didn't care at all just said to wait. Well we waited over 6 hours and watched every person that came in by ambulance go straight back for treatment even if it was something simple. I work in Upstate as an Employee and came to ER last night with chest shoulder and hand pain but unfortunately I came here at 2.30am and now it is 11.00am but still No Dr. came in to check me. I have no recommendation for this ER facility. So bad .

Este es el departamento de emergencias de Syracuse NY nose que hacen para que esto mejore la verdad es que es bien deprimente venir a el departamento de emergencia esto es un caos demasiada personas en la sala de espera a mi a el rededor muchas personas hasta una persona llena de sangre la enfermera tomando presión y temperatura fuera del cuarto personas acostadas en los asientos donde debería de estar en una cama esto lleva años y no veo que a esto le den solución si una persona viene a emergencias la palabra lo dice es eme... read more

The entire building is filthy. I watched the staff LOSE A PATIENT. Not dead, she just got up and wandered off. It took nearly an hour for them to notice. They never found her, which I suppose I should be grateful for, since it's the only reason I got out of the ambulance bay and into a hallway for monitoring. Another patient laid in his bed screaming for help for more than 8 hours while the nursing staff made fun of him for having dementia.
