UPMC is terrible in general. Been seeing a psychiatrist that just quit and screwed me on my medication. Well, not really seeing. Hated him so no showed almost all my appointments. Just kept scheduling to get medication refills. Been asking for a therapist for like 6 years. I've always been told none available, go elsewhere. Every time I'm put in a list I never hear a word again. I had one weird one in the beginning that was terrible at his job. He didn't last long. Time to look for real services elsewhere. I had the worst experience in the evening iop outpatient program. Felt worse after iop then I did going in. I quit after 4 sessions. Therapist and Psychiatrist were very nice but I had an awful experience with the group leader. Would not go back here even if it's the only place that takes my insurance.

I was at the STAR program in high school they were nice. Then I aged out and was put in adapt. Tiffany was my therapist for like a year or so. I put her through a lot which led her to telling me I was too high risk and firing me as a client. That was summer of 2023 I think and since then I’m doing better then I ever was. Haven’t had a therapist since and honestly I’ve just learned to do and be better and rely and God and not other humans. Been clean for a year and a half now. Praise GOD!!!

Discouraging and not caring of their profession. The prime example of why I don't trust the medical field.
