worst hospital ever, don't go if you value your physical or mental health.
Do you want to become a number?! They're not a hospital, they're a patient factory. The CEO wants UPMC to go national and that comes at the expense of Pittsburgh's sick. The blood lab has poor procedures. They even botched our neighbor's single by-pass!
The UPMC in seneca Pa is awful. Whenever I would hold a sneeze (habit) the pressure would build in my sinuses and press on the nerves in my teeth causing them to go numb. Shortly after I would get an agonizing pain in my head(worst pain I ever felt). The first doctor gave me Claritin and a paper on allergies and NOTHING for pain. The next time I went for the same reason and a different doctor gave me anti-inflammitories and a paper on toothaches and still nothing for pain. The doctors and nurses are so nice here. I was blown away how well treated I was after having my son. Then the Pediatrics Department took such great care of my son, I will not go to any other doctor. I prefer Mercy Health Center and Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh for care before, during and after a pregnancy.
I was a patient around Dec. 5th 2008. The staff in the intensive care post op cardiovascular unit was by far the very best one could wish or pray for. All the nurses and staff were so professional and certainly wen beyond the call to care for me. One Deborah Rocco was so helpful to me and cordual to my family and friends.
