I don’t see how any company would want to work with Unum. We caught an employee “Tucker” lying and asked to speak with a manager. I’m not sure how the manager got their job but they were just as incompetent as Tucker. I understand now why you can’t find a single positive review for this company. I have received better service from 16 year olds working at McDonald’s than this place. These scammers will be shut down one day. I have no doubt.
This insurance company is the absolute Worst! We have been a month without getting paid after my husband had his back surgery and have did everything these incompetent people have said to do.NOW they tell us we have to make a payment to the doctor before they can pay us.Well the doctor has been paid already through our insurance so what is there to pay and even if there was how are we supposed to do that when my husband is on sick leave and hasn't had a check coming in.You Unum are a horrible company that we pay every pay pe... read more

Unum is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!!! by the time you see any money that you're entitled to........its months later, with all the 5-6, 5-10, 10-15 business days for everything. I mean everything!!!! Meanwhile your bills are piling up! Ill be sure to opt out next enrollment. Worthless just Worthless, and your protocol apologies,and understanding my frustration dont do nothing for me!!! I need my money thst Iam entitled to, that I pay for!!!
Disgusting company. My wife is fighting them on maternity leave, which we were told would be covered by both Unum and HR from the company she works for. We had to submit the exact same paperwork countless times, and had the paperwork denied twice because of the most mundane clerical error from the OBGYN office. Despite the OBGYN providing a letter of necessity for medical leave we still had to fight to get it approved.
