If you are looking for an OB/Gyn office, I would highly advise AGAINST using the University Women’s Specialists, especially if you are a mom over 35 years old and do not believe in inductions unless there is a strong medical reason to. Dr Buckingham was great! One of the only times I’ve felt truly listened to by a doctor and not felt like I was being rushed out.
I've been with Dr Buckingham for years. I even followed her as she moved to a new practice. She's efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough. She was my OB for two pregnancies, and I always felt supported and in good hands.
My experience with this place has been horrible. Expect long delays and wait times, and I just dont understand it. When my fiance and I were expecting our daughter we saw Dr. Buckingham. There would literally be two couples in the wait area and still manage to wait 2-3 hours for a ultrasound. It made visiting this office a nightmare. Not taking into consideration peoples work schedules and there time. I do not recommend this place. Do your research there are alot of reputable Dr’s in the knoxville area.
