Financial Aid not much aid! I applied to attend here while living with my parents. By the time I did start attending, I was married and pregnant. I attempted to apply for financial aid and was told "We cannot help you. Your parents make too much money". I explained that, since the time I had applied (beginning of my senior year), I had gotten married and was pregnant. Good state school I completed my 4 year degree at the University of WI Milwaukee. I attended the business school, and thought that overall I recieved a good education. The school was very helpful when I needed only one more class to graduate. They let me take the class at another university online so I didn't have to come back for one class. PROS: Location, lots of majors, good staff CONS: Parking, too many teaching assistants

Good Education, but Unorganized I have taken several classes here and it seems that any office on campus that handles money, has no idea what it is doing. They can even be very "standoff-ish" and rude. The teachers are very good and they offer some really great courses in a wide variety of topics. The campus is pretty nice and the students all seem very laid back ( except in the school of nursing). PROS: good education, decent course selection CONS: unorganized

Is there a more "anti-student" school out there? I am convinced they try to make everything more complicated and difficult than taking a few summer courses ever should be, next time, I'll just go to MATC. Other than that, they teachers are really good, they know their stuff. Depending on what you are taking it can be really easy or very difficult. The campus is nice and so are the students; it is very easy going(or at least that seems to be the vibe).

Large university The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee is the stereotypical large university. The classes are large and there is rarely the opportunity for individualized attention or learning. I took 2 classes here and they were both huge, lecture hall type classes. The tuition is similar to other universities throughout the state. The campus could use some renovations and updating otherwise is fairly well-maintained.

Not so great education! I took a few classes through UWM to keep my teaching certificate. I was not impressed with the professors at all. The classes were boring with very few requirements (great for some I guess, but not for me). Nothing special from this university! I was very disappointed!
