A small, friendly, high quality University, that is NOT very left-winged politically. I studied art and Spanish and history there and eventually went to Spain and Portugal for a couple months. Laramie is a wonderful, small town surrounded by beautiful country and mountains.
I grew up in Wyoming, though I was not born there, and going to the University of WY was always an aspiration of mine. I did not go right away and, in fact, I earned degrees at other institutions before, at nearly 44 years of age, I came back and enrolled. The University of Wyoming is what I always thought it would be. Challenging, yet welcoming. Fun, but still highly educational.
