A year ago I came in with a broken ankle and a wound to my knee. I can walk now, but the overall experience was terrible. No medical check in post surgery, they tried to discharge me with crutches when I couldn't walk. Then told me they couldn't give me a wheelchair until I offered to buy one(i couldn't leave until I could move under my own power). I wound up renting one.... Terrible service. Unprofessional ER staff. Worst experience ever. They treat you like a number and not a patient in need. Not a sterile environment at all. They took my sons IV out in the middle of the ER and threw it in the trash can under the desk.my son went there after a dirt bike accident with a back injury. He couldn't breathe sitting up at all. They refused to give him a bed to lay in. Got very hostile when we told them we were leaving to go to another hospital. We went to another hospital and he went straight back to... read more
The wait was looooonnnggg BUT I felt like they did a good job, it was very busy. The doctor (Briggs) was wonderful and took the time to explain things and was not dismissive. The other people I encountered were also kind.
I would give them a zero. If i could. And they are sooooo rude and ugly. Treated my 91 year old father terribly. Go to fort sanders or park west!
I went to the emergency room today about 2:00 pm. In 55 minutes, I was treated, sawn up, and out the door. I expected to be there all day but the awesome staff got me in and out. Thank you UTMC.
