My 3 1/2 year old daughter was transferred to the Steads children's hospital due to a bad kidney infection. We were there for 9 1/2 days. The care we received was amazing. From the Doctors, Nurses, Child life staff, Volunteers, Food services staff, and housekeeping staff! Everyone listened to our needs and concerns. Everyone was so friendly and caring. They do a great job at entertaining the kids and trying to make fun out of a not so fun time. Amazing place to be if you are in need of their care.
I would like to thank all the nurses and doctors that helped take care of my 4 year old made us feel comfortable while we were there and took very good care of my son and made him feel good...
I can't say enough great thinks about U of I hospitals. My 8 year is seen by neurology for seizures. Recently we were admitted after he had a couple bad seizures that were very different. It was late when we got to our room, but the nurses all worked as a great team to get us admitted and settles so we could get some sleep. Every nurse and doctor did everything to make us as comfortable as could be in a hospital setting. I wish we were closer so we could use them for their pediatric drs as well.
