If there was a higher rating than 5, I would give it. We have been bringing our pets in crisis to U of I for over 10 years. Whether it was Trixie who had multiple visits treating her cancer, or our guinea pig, prairie dog, and now our dog Roxie. The quality care was the same. With complicated cases multiple departments are consulted, labs for testing are on sight. So you know the day you bring your pet in, what your options are. The staff was professional and friendly. The Vet that dealt with our granddog was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate!! She handled our sons and daughter-in-loves furry family member their dog with great expertise and respect. She kept them informed and was with them every step of the way... even when hard decisions had to be made. She stayed and even went with them to their car to be sure all was taken care of respectfully and with compassion.
