Dr Middleton from internal medicine was so wonderful to Nellie and me. So was the emergency staff in the middle of the night. I knew Nellie was sick but had no idea she was gravely ill with advanced cancer. It was a shocking diagnosis that required us to say goodbye to Nellie shortly thereafter, but everyone at U of I was really great throughout the horrible ordeal. We love U of I vet teaching hospital and know we get the best of medical care for our pets when local vets can't do anymore.
My 11 yr old dachshund, JayJay, went down in her hind end on a Sunday afternoon. Well, it was bad and JayJay had an emergency hemilaminectomy surgery that evening on 5/17/15. Look at her now! Thank you to Dr. Tulipan, Dr. Lonc, the technicians, the 4th year students- Steve Z. And Erica M., the friendly front desk staff, and to everyone else who came in on-call to give JayJay the best care possible. Everyone was so great and the communication was wonderful.
