After just one year of being open,they're crumbling apart. Only good thing is the tour path. I go on weekends to hangout with friends amd there's been a used tampon for weeks in the hallway. My friends hate it and overall a bad place to live
Everything is excellent. The management is good and the maintenance guy is so friendly.
Upon moving into University Edge I was very excited... I was ready to be out of dorms, to live with my best friends and to feel more like an adult. I came to look at the model room, and was very pleased with what I saw. The staff seemed very nice and engaged while speaking with me, and everyone was always ready to help you. Not often do I write reviews for a company or business yet University Edge Akron deserves one, and not for the right reasons. I am a junior here at Akron and before Edge I lived in the Exchange dorms. I signed with Edge October of my freshman year and like many freshmen I could not wait to move out of the dorms. Only saving grace is its awesome location next to campus. Other than that, its ameniues are shoddy, the building I live in has barely survived up until now (wondering how it won't break down next year), and the electric bills are outrageous and downright false, and management has basically done jack shit about it.
Please... If you are considering signing up here, DONT!!! You will be told that you will never go over the $20 cap for electricity and then you will get a nice little bill every month that is about $90 over the cap. There are ALWAYS issues here. I think every resident here has had their parents call and complain about something. Some of the management is down right RUDE too. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN
Few of the exterior doors lock (security issue); often times they are literally wide open. The base of the door scrapes the concrete sidewalks to the point that they don't close without force. Thus, we bleed hot air. Also, the dump trunks come anywhere from 3AM-8AM. The tenets are consistently have parties to 3AM without regard for other residents. Rent is a joke.
