I can't extend enough thanks to the staff. My dad had the best of care takers from the ER last Saturday AM through the ICU on 6th floor and finally the group on 5th floor. You all did a great job.
My opinion: don't go to cardiovascular associates, located at unity point if you have a heart problem!!!!!
I stayed here January 8-12 for infection and crohns disease. I've been to many other hospitals due to my Crohns Disease that I've had for 15 and 1/2 years, so I've seen the good and bad in "some" hospitals. I was in awe how this hospital has an amazing group of nurses and nurses aids who showed such compassion, support and how they ALL worked together as a team!! I went to ER Saturday January 2nd at 2:30 pm. I was in sever pain. Waited 3 hours to get called back. They put me in a room and a nurse came in and asked me what was wrong after telling her she needed a sample and I steped into the restroom and there we fake eyelashes on the toilet seat. Yuck so I steped out and told them I wasn't using iit becaue it was dirty. Someone came in with a spray bottle and grabbed a paper towel and "cleaned" it. I have to give a BIG shout out to the Sioux city fire department, Sioux land paramedics and unity point st Luke's!!! Everyone that was on duty early this morning that came to the house to assist with transporting bob to the hospital were all so personable, professional, considerate and caring, we couldn't have asked for a better experience during a scary time!!!
