I thought I could navigate buying a home by myself. Then I realized just how much I did not know. I remember seeing Beth Ortmann at an open house and decided to text her with some questions. She just knew I needed help. I have never been so grateful to have someone on my side that took into account my ideas and limitations. Beth will always be welcome at our home because we would not have this wonderful home if it were not for her intelligence, kindness, fortitude, and convictions.
We closed on our home (sellers) last Friday and then United escrow company stoped payment on proceedings Monday because they made a mistake. The reason a title company is involved and PAID is to avoid these issues. Somebody didn't do their JOB. Federal law prohibits them from taking back funds once property is closed on. If you buy a car and 3 days later the dealer sees something they left out they can't add it onto your loan 3 days later. Now We have to wait for their next check to clear on Monday of next week.
