Unique Thrift Store is just average I went there the first time today. The prices are around 25% higher than the Salvation Army in Saint Paul that I'm used to going to and the selection, although larger, was not as good in quality. Pricing was inconsistent. Some stuff was priced higher than new at a retailer when on sale. It was overcrowded. The wait for the fitting room was around 8 minutes on a late Thursday morning. Great store Great guy Yeah I agree with some others, no exchanges no refunds sucks! But in fairness it was posted all over the place. When I went to return a stereo receiver the girl at the register told me that and I blew up! yeah I guess I was pretty rude and loud, she ran over to the phone and called for the manager. I thought I was gonna get tossed out of the place but I was so angry at that point I really didn't care! $100 is real money to me and I had wanted one of these vintage marrantz receivers for 30 years! Know how to shop, and you'll love it It's a thrift store....what do you expect? The prices have gone up over the past few years, but, the prices have gone up everywhere. Once you get over that, the selection is fantastic and if you take the time to be polite and get to know the employees, they return the respect. Just plain weird. Every worker is searched before they leave the backroom. What more should i say? I've been there twice...its okay.
check it out Ive found wonderful deals... clothing, shoes, kids clothes, jackets, and books. Ive found bad deals.. used shoes that i didnt notice till id paid, that were 35 $, a futon for 10 $ that had to be thrown away once I got home. Take your time to look. Try it on. look for holes, broken zippers etc. If you buy a brand name expect to pay quite a bit more. Pluses, Store is clean, organized, many employees,variety, sales, some clothing is new
Frequent Shopper I have shopped 3 out of 6 stores and find them very interesting to look through. You have to take the time and effort to find a good deal or something on your list. I signed up for their mailing list and receive a notice of the 50% day and what store is having it. One thing I dislike is the hanging baggys with all different loose items that is hard to look over without being in someone else's way. Someone needs to come up with a better solution. Unique Thrift Store is fun I go to Unique every Tuesday for 25% off day. I have been buying dishes for my sister-in-law's wedding reception there (she wants all different vintage dishes.) Their prices on things seem all over the board...sometimes they are WAY too high, sometimes they are a steal. I just bought myself a great pair of brand new-looking embroidered jeans from J.
