Unique place to stay! – Just returned from a weekend trip and enjoyed our stay at Union Station very much. One note - do not accept a smoking room thinking it won't be that bad - it will be! Thankfully, when we requested a better room for our second night, we were accommodated in the best way! The rooms will be renovated soon, so we look forward to going back to see how much nicer they are when that's done. As is, the bed was very plush and comfy, the soaring ceilings on the 5th floor were awesome, and the overall architectu... read more

Historic former train station near Vanderbilt offers luxurious suites that are leagues beyond a sleeper car. – In Short This landmark Romanesque Revival structure is located about five blocks from the heart of downtown. Many features of the elegant old terminal remain today, including a track schedule written on a slate board hanging behind the registration desk. The rooms surround the three-level lobby, with most opening to the public space and all having excellent panoramic views from the windows. Tourists and visiting cel... read more

loud and old – the trains are bad enough, but it is on train tracks...It is however unacceptable to hear everything going on in the hall (from the 1 inch gap under the door) and from the rooms next to and above you. There were wires everywhere (phone, lamps, cable, internet). We came for "classic" and all we got was old bathrooms, old furniture, old carpet, old wall paper, old drapes - but new Aeron chair!

Not an awesome hotel, but a good value – I just returned from a stay here. The lobby and Arthur's (the upscale restaurant) are stunning, the staff was helpful & friendly, room furnishings are attractive, convenient downtown location plus a free shuttle service which will deliver/pick you up anywhere within a 2-3 mile radius. This is, however, a place which seems to be operating on a shoestring budget: several large stains on my room's carpet, woodwork & hallway wallpaper was scuffed, no newstand/sundries shop or exercise fac... read more

Hotel – The room was nice...nothing to write home about (510), the wallpaper was coming off in places, and there was a stain on ceiling. The "nice robe" that was in the room....seen better at K-mart. The inside of the hotel is nice...but the bar where we had drinks...the service was anything but good. Overall..I'd say the place is over priced & over rated. Plus there was a party in the lobby of college kids who were very loud till after 12.

romantic, with faults – This place still is the most romantic hotel in Nashville. Although it's kind of run down, my boyfriend and I spent a great weekend here. Made us feel like like we were in a different place in time. Maybe it was the room that looked over the lobby that gave us the feel. Whatever it was, this is still the place I can go to have romance at a reasonable price.

horrible – my wife and i wanted to get away for a romantic weekend and chose this dump. the lobby is the only nice thing about this hotel. the parking is horrendous, the room was musty and had mold all over the walls. we asked management for a different room and they offered a dehumidifier and this went buzz, thump, buzz, thump all night long. this place was as romantic as a ymca men's shelter with open bays.

Very nice hotel – What a fabulous place. The service was outstanding. The room was wonderful. Your not going to get the amenities of a 5 star hotel, but if you like unique, charming and elegant, you'll love this place. We will definitely stay there again.
