We love sitting at the old bar where true patriots sat. Love the oystahs, chawdah, and wicked pissa corn bread. Guys behind the oystah bah are great. A Boston..no..an American institution.

Great place, good atmosphere, awesome service. For being so old, whatever upgrades have done, the charm is still there.

I love this place! It is a great dining experience, and a piece of American history. The one thing is...be prepared to wait for a table if you go on a weekend. And the bigger your group...the longer the wait. However, the wait time is not terrible, and the food and atmosphere more than make up for any wait time you have, in my opinion!

A terrible place for people with disabilities. We were treated unacceptably. Despite having reservations two months in advance, and notifying them that we had a person who is wheelchair bound, they booked ALL accessible seating to non-disabled parties! Is this legal??? We were degraded and humiliated by the treatment received and had to leave the restaurant. A disgrace to Boston. At least that night. 100% the truth.

I had the PAN SEARED SHRIMP & SCALLOPS (Served with a sun dried tomato cream sauce over rice) The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly along with the rice and the sun dried tomato cream sauce put this dish over the top!!! The girls had the steamed mussels (steamed to perfection with garlic & white wine and a side of garlic bread) and the lump crab cakes! Next time we are in Boston, this will one of the first stops!! Great service and decor! A little costly but very good food!!!

I've been here twice. Sat at the oyster bar and the guy there was funny as hell. Had the best chowder and lobster roll ever.
