Was taken here on a helicopter ambulance years ago. I had to end a pregnancy after not being able to hold down food or water and getting hydration IV to live and didn’t handle it well. I was not given meds and discharged within a day despite being very obviously unwell and paranoid (flushing ID down the toilet etc.) Turns out after a year of bouncing around different hospitals I have scitzoaffective disorder which I am finally medicated for and stable. I was shocked that this was a mental health institution with the term mental health in their name. The person I spoke with at the contact office was extremely rude and refused to be helpful. Usually when you call a mental health office they are so understanding and kind and treat you with dignity.
Awful. Awful awful awful. Got told by different doctors multiple times they’d "try to get me out tomorrow". That lasted a good three days. Felt like a pig at the bacon farm. I have no insurance. I have no job. I will have so much debt because they didn’t let me go, it’s laughable. I have new trauma from coming here???? I came into intake with TWO white bags of belongings with my names on them. One had my most cherished Bible notebook, along with therapy brochures and a resource paper I needed outside of the hospital. They o... read more
