Great for dates – The place is great for dates. It is a little pricy and the food choices are limited. The drinks are strong. The lighting and the music sets a romantic mood.
HORRIBLE – This place is horrible! The drinks are overpriced. Took us forever to get the waitress and then they had the nerve to take our glasses from the table before we were even done with our drinks!! Go to the Union Bar (across the street) or Flute instead!!!
I'd recommend this adventure to anyone!! – WOW! An evening not soon forgotten! What a place! As I sauntered down the snake-like staircase you are poured out into a golden-grey candle-lit atmosphere with an oasis of a bar I could live at! A fantastic time! Nice scene – Dark, good music--great place for a pre-game cocktail. I would go back.
Good scene – As the name implies, its underground. In my opinion one of the best W hotel bars. Dark plush velvet, candles, little private enclaves if you can get one early enough (with a curtain that draws across to give you privacy!) and generally a good crowd. It does tend to get overcrowded on some nights though, and lately too many tourists!
Darl cellar – Very cool bathrooms!!! Feels like being in a dungeon, though. Very small, dark, can't see anything.
6.5 – In general, par for the course for these types of places. Once there, I kind of had a flashback to when your hanging out and drinking in someones basement in high school and the lights are low cause the kid doesn't want you to see his parents outdated furniture. I like the policy that they only hire waitresses with long legs and short skirts, though. Staff was pleasant too.
