What a waste! – We walked in and were totally ignored by the staff. Keep in mind the place was close to empty. When we finally got the bartender to acknowledge us she made our drinks and continued to have an conversation with her co-worker. We asked about sitting down and she acted as if we had interrupted her and she was annoyed. We sat down in one of the empty seats but, we had to go back to the bar to get more drinks, more then once! Terrible service arrogant attitudeshame it is at the W – Under Bar is definitely under par. The waiters are so pretentious they have no clue of what is available at the bar. They bring the wrong drinks. The wait staff does not listen or pay attention to what the customers want. As it was raining, my friends and I had hung are umbrellas on the coat wrack. Eh... – I have to agree with the so-so reviews of this place. IT's a cool spot, nice interior, although a bit small. I've been lucky to get one of those cozy cubby seats both times I've been there. THere are "reserved" signs on every table (come on) so that if they decide to kick you out at any time, you have to go. We were there for about an hour and were reminded that the table was "reserved" about 5 times, and that we might have to leave at any time (what, in case a celebrity comes in or something? Lousy service and rude waitress – The drinks were overpriced. The waitress that served us was really rude. It was a waste of time and money. Save yourself a trip!
rude management – Very disappointing visit. One of the managers was very rude to our group when he was asking us to move from a supposedly "reserved" area where we had been seating for an hour already. He was very dismissive and autocratic. Definitely not how you would like to be treated as a paying customer! The drinks were overpriced and the service was lousy. This bar is definitely not recommended.
Can't judge the book by its cover...! – Nice Decor, Cute Waitresses... but the waitesses we had was obnoxious. The management needs better training and are horrible. We had a complaint to the manager and his response was to quiver in the corner....

Get there before it hits 9p.m. – When it is somewhat slow and quiet, this is a great place for a date. Nice ambience. But once it hits 9p.m., the throngs of "suits" come in and the music starts to get really, really loud. As in, have to shout on the top of your lungs loud. And by the way, this is not a "hip" bar. It's all yuppies and suits. And the drinks are average to sort of blah. But again, if this is a date, it would be a nice place to go for the overall setting and ambience
Very COOL lil spot... – this spot was a cool lounge to hang out at. my boyfriend and i went to ny for our 1st time and as soon as we arrived we hit this spot since we wanted to chill somewhere and just lay low. it was a very mixed crowd andi would say avg age was 25-35. they played hip hop music and is was a good spot to just mingle and dance if you wanted to. most of the people were just talking and meeting people so my boyfriend and i enjoyed the atmostphere. if u are a couple or just looking for a cool spot to chill... th... read more
