Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse

4.3

About this business

A never ending string of steaks are seared and skewed at Uncle Jack's brick walled restaurant. Bright lights and mostly brown furniture define its interiors; Kobe Beef and 21 day dry aged prime meats bear the brunt of high temperature ovens. Every steak is diced, spiced and grilled to perfection, New York Times quote "this steakhouse leaves no item overlooked" comes as no surprise then. Large quantities of beer and fine wine are on offer too. So get the green notes flowing!

I am a huge fan of Uncle Jack's Steakhouse. I love their "Uncle Jack's Seafood Pasta" summer special, with tomato-lobster sauce, Prince Edward Island mussels, little neck clams, Maine lobster medallions, and jumbo shrimp. Yum! Their new guys night (drink samples at the bar on Wednesday nights) is a blast too...I love going their with my friends...check out Uncle Jack's Steakhouse, you won't regret it!

Service was Great, Steaks were ok!! – I recently tried Uncle Jack's for the first time. As a long time resident of bayside I decided it was time. I love steaks and have been to what people would consider the best steak house in the city. ie. Sparks, Peter Luger, Morton's, Gallagher's, STK, and several others. I will say that there service rivals and surpassed many of the others. When we arrived they gave us the last table available, which was the worst in the house. The hostess already knew we weren't happy with the table an... read more

Only 2 Cappuchino left? ran out of Bread at 8 pm? – We reserved a table for 6 in advance for my sons Birthday dinner on a Saturday evening. We were seated under the serving window in a cramped corner. horrible, had to watch for elbows in the head, etc. The drinks were weak, for the price they charge, could have put a whole shot in, right? They gave us 2 pieces of fennel bread for the whole table, we asked for more and they said they had no more. The butter was frozen (right out of a freezer)., the service was awful..we had t... read more

Hit or Miss – I have to say that the place is somewhat cozy, The traditional interior of a steakhouse is very becoming and appropiate. Fot the Money It's been hit or miss in my experience. There are plenty of Steakhouses in Queens that are more consistent in product. The appetizers are fine, the steaks are not representative of the prices but not bad at all.

Club Music? – My boyfriend and I like to go to Uncle Jack's for cocktails either before or after having dinner elsewhere. The last two times we went, the drinks were terrible, as well as over-priced. What made the experience even worse was the horrible, loud club music they were playing. The restaurant's decor and atmosphere call for something more along the lines of Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald. For a "classy" restaurant, the pumping dance music was a big turn-off!! We will have our martinis someplace else next time.
