DR THORPE AND DR UPCHURCH ARE AMAZING!!! My husband and I have had 2 miscarriages in a year, and now we are pregnant a third time. Instead of rushing us out of the room or telling us what we wanted to hear, they sat and had conversation with us and we came up with a plan of action. I have experienced a long history of over billing from this facility and tried to ignore it. However, after they billed me $300 for a five-minute visit that they told me I needed as a routine GYN exam (but billed as a primary care preventative exam, presumably for more money?), I decided I had had enough of paying for services that are indeed covered by my insurance company but billed wrong by UNC OBGYN. Please be weary of this provider for routine or conservative care. They will overbill you for it every. single. time.
I waited almost 30 minutes to be seen today. I recently visited the green level rd location for the very first time and the overall experience was just “ok.” The ultrasound lady was kind and professional, yet the nurse that assisted me was alright, but I am used to getting my blood pressure, weight, etc done accurately and not by asking me what my weight and height is directly instead. They helped answer every question I had and do not pressure you. They make sure you are comfortable the entire time and in every decision.
