So disappointed. After an hour initial visit I felt Dr Campbell knew me and would be a Marcus welby. First issue was a nightmare in problem solving. The MA kept reciting policy and possibly loosing her job if not going by policy. Compassionate care takes a back seat to resolution win win. Physician never contacted me digitally or mychart on this issue. Just offered me the option of leaving the practice. I am. She was often out of office without stated coverage.
I normally go to a different UNC Family Health, but was having some issues and they couldn't see me quickly enough at my regular location. After speaking with a nurse, I was offered an option to go to another UNC location since there was no availability where I regularly go. They gave me multiple time availabilities for the Pikeville location and I chose the 7:30 time slot. I received my bill yesterday and they billed me extra for an Evening/Weekend/Holiday rate. We recently moved to Pikeville, and I chose this practice out of convenience, even though there were some unfavorable reviews. I have been seen by both Dr Campbell & Dori King, as well as their support staff. I have to tell you my experience here has been outstanding. Dr. Campbell is intuitive, and looks deeper than just physical symptoms. Dori King is one of the best nurse practitioners I've visited with over the years. I established care here today and saw Dr. Kandi Campbell. The wait was very short. She is beyond kind, compassionate, and you can tell she truly cares about you as a person. She listens to understand and not just to respond. I can’t say enough nice things about her and the nurse, Danielle, was also amazing. I have no complaints.
