We went last night for my daughter's graduation dinner. They had a limited menu due to being very busy. Our server was good and knowledgeable. The food was good and the bread was awesome!
What a way to almost ruin a wonderful celebration day. I understand having a select menu for a special occasion like graduation day. But, not taking dietary requirements into account in this day and age is unacceptable. Gluten-free isn't a fad or a choice. It is a medical necessity. The inability of the management and kitchen staff to recognize that forced our party of 8 to leave and find a restaurant down the street that welcomed us and was happy to accommodate us. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Super reasonable lunch menu!
Our server was genuine but was hardly around and we waited 45 minutes to get our check and a box. As far as the food goes the noodles were still raw and the spaghetti not great at all. I saw two couples get up and leave as they were waiting for a good amount of time to get their drinks. Disappointing Italian restaurant would not go back.
This place is a great secret! Within walking distance of both campus and Broadway, it is situated right by the Hitt parking garage. The atmosphere is very homey and welcoming. I have had both the Canneloni di Manzo and the Gnocchi Quattro Formaggio and both were delicious! They also start you off with bred, oil, and fresh shaved parmesan. They also have boards with cheeses, meats and breads that go perfect with a bottle of wine. Pick one up if you're on your way to a mani or pedi at Varsity for the ultimate girls night!
