Angry and rude transplant coordinators and social workers who throw patients out of appointments. My secondary health insurance had lapsed for one day because I was a victim of stolen identity so transplant social worker told me to leave or they’d call their little Umass police farce to remove me. I was not given the option to be billed or to pay cash, which I actually offered to do. More recently I call transplant about a vitamin d deficiency and I’m angrily told by my transplant coordinator Tammy to call my primary care an... read more

I received a life saving kidney transplant for which I am eternally grateful back in 2011 at Umass. In 2018 I show up to Umass transplant for scheduled transplant follow up appointment and as nurse is checking and wondering why my blood pressure is sky high, the transplant social worker bursts through door saying I have to leave and can’t be treated that day I was not given the option to be billed or pay cash, which I could have. I was simply tossed out and told if I didn’t leave she’d call their little Umass police farce to... read more

Angry and rude transplant coordinators and social workers who throw patients out of appointments, and ever since Dr Stoff retired, it’s a different dr, who I’ve never met nor seen, in my 14 years of going there, every time I regrettably go to an appointment. What the hell happened to amerikkkas healthcare? Money, greed, and a hunger for power took over Umass and amerikkka, that’s what happened! Cost over care and profit over people, it’s the Umass way!🤦‍♂️

Demanding, angry transplant coordinators who are far more concerned about patients following their little rules than actually helping patients. Post transplant care is virtually non existent and the social worker will throw you out in a heartbeat if she even senses a momentary lapse in your insurance coverage. All without ever offering to let the patient pay or be billed. I was a victim of identity fraud and thereby lost secondary health insurance coverage for less than one full day and was thrown out with quickness and told... read more
