I did have some long timeframes to wait for transfers in the beginning. But all in all I like 5.25% interest. end of story. Thanks
Since I seen all the terrible reviews I thought I would share my experience which was a little better than what others shared. They offer very high interest rate which amongst the top I have seen offered by any other bank. Are they perfect, no, they definately can improve but they are not as bad as what a lot of people are saying. They are very responsive when you reach out for support. What a nightmare. Wish I read the reviews before going with UFB Direct. Things were smooth for a few months but now that I need to transfer my money out, I can't! Customer service is non-existent, they are polite but useless. They say they will "escalate" but nothing gets done. Can't transfer my money out:( Wish I could give zero stars.
Abysmal. Put money in account, login page completely blank. No response from tech team for two days. CANNOT understand the call centre staff. ABYSMAL. am closing my account today.
Horrible...just opened account on Monday...closing it today Thursday after 3 calls to them and no one called me back....can only imagine how difficult they might have been if they had my money...lol
Very poor customer service and this bank places all sorts of block in your savings account so that you can transfer/withdraw money to other external banks. If you guys have trouble with this bank, report them to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (www.occ.gov)
I have almost $250K in savings with UFB and decided to pull out all to other bank offering similar competitive rate (Bask Bank & Salem Five). UFB Direct surpressed my ability to withdraw or move money and that is a no no. For those of you having problem with this back, file report with the agency governing this bank: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
Interest rate is high but customer service is absolute low. They placed all these blockage on your savings account profile that you cannot view or access your account. Adding external accounts is certainly a BIG challenge as they try to limit your ability to move money out.
Stay away ! THis institution changes name of the savings acct every month now, offers higher rates on new accts, exactley the same one you have just a different name, say Elite Savings Acct vs. High Rate SAvings Acct unless you call, thre is no notification of teh new acct with the new rate nor any automatic upgrae of your rate as serious banking institutions do if you call customer service, it will be a half hour affair with poor reception and offshore stay away! i will close my acct as soon as i get to it!
