An absolute nightmarish labyrinth of incompetence. When you undoubtedly need to call them because someone screwed up some paperwork or denied a claim, be prepared for an hour long (if you're lucky) phone call as you're transferred several times to the wrong department. I'm actually considering quitting a job that I love just so I will have a different health provider.
If you want to die slowly, be ignored, never have referrals/pre authorizations sent out correctly, then have to call back UCSD and correct the referrals; as in state it needs to be on letterhead, body part etc bc their own referral team has no idea how to do it properly (multiple times I have had bad ones that are rejected and have to call to give them the errors to be fixed). Great experience from start to finish. Dr. Michelle Sexton truly listens, and has an intuitive skill in ordering the right tests. Lab was fast, quick ,and one poke! I apologize I forgot the amazingly skilled phlebotomist's name. Never saw anyone that incredible. I recommend UCSD to all!!
